The Post Office - Aistear
13th Dec 2019
This month the junior room have been learning about the post office. They had great fun in the role-play area, writing letters, buying stamps and envelopes, posting letters and delivering letters around the classroom. In the construction area they designed different modes of transport for delivering post, including post vans, airplanes and boats. Some groups constructed mailing centers for sorting the post and housing estates for letters to be delivered to.
We were lucky to meet the postman and got to look inside his post van. There was great excitement when the postman delivered post that the children had posted at the post office.
